Accommodations and Amenities
At Golden Dawn we offer three types of accommodation for your comfort: Basic, semi-private and private rooms. Each room contains a washroom, bed, wardrobe and nightstand.
Television, cable and wireless internet are available for a monthly fee. We also encourage you to bring in your own computer or iPad. Televisions have also been provided in common areas for your use.
Should telephone calls be an important part of your regular routine we suggest you bring your phone and arrange for the installation of a private phone line, available by calling Eastlink at 1-888-345-1111.
All electrical appliances brought into the Home are required to be inspected by our maintenance personnel to ensure they are CSA approved, before use.
To make your room more homelike, personal and comfortable we encourage you to bring in a favourite chair, lamp, plants, afghan or quilt, as well as, personal pictures or artwork, as space allows.
 |  | Outdoor EnjoymentResidents and their families are encouraged to use our outdoor patio area which includes a pergola and patio seating. In addition, raised garden beds are planted with annuals and perennials, as well as, herbs and vegetables which are utilized by our cooks. Our patio also plays host to outdoor parties, music, BBQ's and much more. |
Common Areas
A number of common areas are provided for your pleasure. Our beautifully appointed dining room serves your meals in a family type setting. There are also lounge areas, a quiet room, and two multipurpose rooms including the Auditorium, which features a large screen television and piano and which serves as our chapel, activity and gathering room. Our hairdressing salon is staffed by a professional hairdresser who provides cuts, washes and sets, perms and colour treatments. For your convenience these charges may be added to your monthly bill.
