Living in Lion's Head

Nestled between the cliffs, along the shores of Georgian Bay, the quaint village of Lions Head provides residents and it's many summer visitors, the opportunity to eat, shop, relax and play - all in one location.  Restaurants, shops, a bank, grocery store, post office, liquor store, pharmacy, coffee shops, and a library are a few of the amenities Lion's Head has to offer - most within walking distance of our senior's apartment complex.  




Relax and Enjoy

Located just a block away, a sandy beach is the perfect place to shake off your shoes, dig your toes in the sand, relax, enjoy a picnic or take a walk along the shoreline to the beautiful marina.  There you'll find the lighthouse which stands sentinel at the mouth of the harbour, along with sweeping views of the limestone cliffs of the Niagara Escarpment.  

Look closely and you may even spot the remnants of the rock outcropping, in the resemblance of a lion, which gave the village its name.   Founded in the late 1800's the coastal community of Lion's Head is a popular tourist destination for many.
